Selfie of the day. I have such unrealistic expectations of what my body should look like. All day every day I am staring at women who are competing of some sort. Everyone I follow on Instagram, read about in magazines, heck even the girl I worked with at the gym is competing and it seriously depresses me because I WANT that body. I know it’s not realistic to maintain all year round but my brain can’t stop telling me what I “should” look like. I was feeling okay about my body and willing to accept my lack of abs because I know I can turn myself around, but after seeing a bunch of people I know competing with literally perfect bodies, I feel utterly disgusting.
